Poland expands inclusive playgrounds for children with disabilities

A private special kindergarten, Przygoda, in Goczałkowice‑Zdrój is recruiting children and offers a range of therapeutic services, including sensory integration, physiotherapy, speech therapy and alternative communication methods. The centre emphasizes small groups, Montessori and Dalton approaches, and provides specially equipped therapy rooms and an inclusive playground designed to support motor and social development.

In Szczakowa, residents Robert Woźniak and Patryk Dziuban have submitted a proposal to the Jaworzno Citizens' Budget 2027 for an integrated, barrier‑free playground. Planned for Parku Kolejarzy, the project would feature wheelchair‑accessible carousels, wide slides, sensory equipment and a sandpit reachable from a wheelchair platform. It would be the first such inclusive playground in Jaworzno, aiming to allow children of all abilities to play together.
