Poland expands public childcare with new nurseries in Mazovia and Toruń

New childcare facilities have opened in several Polish locations as part of broader efforts to expand public nursery services. In the Mazovian Voivodeship, new nurseries were inaugurated in Chlewiska and Orońsko. The Chlewiska facility, costing over 1.7 million PLN, provides care for 25 children. In Orońsko, the “Czekoladowy Krzemisia” Public Nursery offers 48 places. These projects are funded through the “Aktywny Maluch” program, which has seen 400 agreements signed in the Mazovian region totaling nearly 630 million PLN, aiming to create over 13,000 childcare spots.

In Toruń, Municipal Nursery No. 5 opened on the Jar estate, providing care for 121 children starting September 1. This investment, totaling approximately 15 million PLN, was primarily funded through the National Recovery Plan (Krajowy Plan Odbudowy) and European Funds for Social Development. The facility includes six rooms and covers a usable area of approximately 1,351 square meters.
