Poland Expands Senior Fitness Programs in Chmielnik and Zamość

In the town of Chmielnik, the "Młodzi Duchem" seniors' club is running a health project from June to November 2026 under the slogan "In a healthy body, a healthy spirit – we get seniors moving!". Funded by the Świętokrzyskie regional budget, the programme offers Nordic‑walking marches, senior gymnastics, cardio sessions on a rehabilitation treadmill and a concluding bike rally, using newly purchased mats and exercise rollers.

In Zamość County, a contract with the Lublin Voivodeship finances the multi‑year "Aktywni Seniorzy – ASY" programme for 2026‑2030. The initiative supports the Senior+ Day House in Krasnobrodzie with a total cost of 300,000 zł, of which 120,960 zł is granted. About 30 seniors aged 60+ will receive regular activities aimed at increasing social participation and improving quality of life.
