Poland expands senior care programs with new funding and community centers

The Fundusz Górnośląski SA announced a training competition for its "Rozwój kompetencji" project, allocating 400 000 zł and accepting applications from 13–17 July 2026, with two support paths for participants.

A senior voucher scheme (bon senioralny) awaiting President Karol Nawrocki’s signature will provide up to 50 hours of care per month for adults aged 65 plus, funded initially with 100 million zł and rolled out gradually to municipalities based on income criteria.

Gmina Zduny launched a Senior Support Centre under the "Wielkopolskie Telecentrum Opieki" project, financed with 453 602 zł EU funds, offering free home‑based rehabilitation, tele‑care devices and activity programs for residents aged 60 and over.

Gmina Siemyśl issued an additional call for applications to the Ministry‑run "Opieka wytchnieniowa" respite‑care programme, supporting families caring for disabled children or adults; applications close 31 July 2026.

The Bojanowo "Wielkopolskie Telecentrum Opieki" project reported 418 cultural trips, 311 mobile salon services and various assistance activities, funded with 302 140 zł (over 211 k zł from EU), and will continue operating.

Poznań renovated a historic building into the Municipal Senior Activity Club, a 20 million zł investment (16 million zł from the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego), providing health, education, integration and volunteer services for seniors.

Zgorzelec opened a supplemental recruitment for personal assistance services for people with disabilities, covering personal care, household tasks, mobility and communication support, with applications accepted 10–20 July 2026.
