Poland experiences two serious fire incidents in Katowice and Roztoka
A severe fire broke out in a vacant building on Jankego and Szewska streets in Katowice. Emergency responders from Omega Med Transport entered the structure to check for trapped individuals, but the roof collapsed during the operation, highlighting the hazardous conditions.
In a separate incident, a barn in Roztoka, Limanowa County caught fire, completely destroying the building. Firefighters from the State Fire Service in Limanowa and local volunteer units fought the blaze, ultimately unable to save the structure, and used a backhoe to dismantle the remains to prevent reignition. Electrical service workers cut power to the site.
Both incidents involved swift emergency action to protect nearby properties and prevent further damage.
