Węgrów opens new care and treatment facility

A new Care and Treatment Center (ZOL) has officially opened in Węgrów, marking the culmination of planning that began nearly three decades ago. The facility is part of the local SP ZOZ and was designed to address the growing needs of an aging population by providing both stationary care and medical services.

The project was made possible through significant funding from the National Recovery Plan (KPO), which provided 20 million PLN. Additional funding totaling 13.64 million PLN was contributed by local governments, including the voivodeship, Węgrów county, and surrounding municipalities.

Constructed by Ekonenergia in just over a year, the building features one- and two-person patient rooms on the upper floor, with rehabilitation and treatment rooms located on the ground floor. The facility is equipped with modern heating, elevators, and photovoltaic systems. While rehabilitation equipment is already in place, the facility is currently finalizing its furniture procurement and is in negotiations with the National Health Fund (NFZ) for its first service contract.
