Poland extends 800 Plus child benefit deadline to June 30, adds new rules for Ukrainian families
Parents and guardians in Poland must submit electronic applications for the 800 Plus child benefit for the 2026/2027 period by June 30 to avoid losing the June payment. The new benefit year started on June 1, 2026 and runs until May 31, 2027. Applications filed by April 30 guarantee a June payout; those submitted after that still receive the benefit but without a June equalisation payment. Applications received after June 30 will only become effective from the month of filing.
The programme will shift to automatic renewal from 2027, with families only needing to apply after a child's birth. New regulations also affect Ukrainian refugees: to qualify, children must attend a Polish school or preschool, a requirement that does not apply to children under six. Similar work‑status requirements apply to other non‑EU nationals living and working in Poland.
