Poland extends high-level security alerts through 2026

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has extended high-level security alert levels in Poland, including the Łódź Voivodeship and Mazovia regions, until November 30, 2026. The measures are described by the Government Centre for Security as preventive actions in response to the current geopolitical situation and potential hybrid threats.

The decision includes the BRAVO alert level, which mandates increased surveillance and controls at public utility sites, large gatherings, and critical infrastructure. The BRAVO-CRP level specifically addresses heightened threats in cyberspace. Additionally, a third-level CHARLIE alert has been implemented for railway lines managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, requiring continuous monitoring of train routes and infrastructure.

In practice, these measures impact daily life, including stricter access controls at schools, kindergartens, and universities. In certain regions, such as Ostrołęka, police presence has been increased around educational facilities to restrict unauthorized access and ensure personnel can monitor all individuals entering buildings.
