Poland extends high-level terror alert levels through November 2026
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has extended heightened security alert levels across Poland, effective through November 30, 2026. The decision includes the BRAVO level, which signifies an increased and predictable terrorist threat, and the BRAVO-CRP level, focused on cybersecurity and the protection of public information systems.
Specifically, the CHARLIE alert level—the third tier in a four-stage system—remains in effect for designated railway infrastructure managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe and PKP Linia Hutnicza Szerokotorowa. This includes rail networks in Warsaw and the Mazovia region. The CHARLIE level mandates increased readiness, additional security procedures, and 24-hour surveillance of selected sites.
While the alert levels require increased vigilance from police, public administration, and security institutions, they do not impose new restrictions on daily life for most citizens. Residents may continue normal activities such as attending school or work, though they should expect a higher presence of security services and increased inspections near important landmarks and railway infrastructure.
