Poland faces mixed weekend weather – sunshine in the west, showers and storms in the east

Weather forecasts for the weekend of 10‑12 July show a clear split across Poland. The western and southwestern regions are expected to enjoy dry, sunny conditions with daytime temperatures reaching up to 25 °C, while the eastern and north‑eastern areas will see cooler weather, scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms that may bring hail and wind gusts of 60‑65 km/h. Rainfall totals of 20‑35 mm are predicted for voivodeships such as Warmian‑Masurian, Podlaskie, Mazowieckie and Lubelskie, where a level‑1 alert is in force. Temperatures in these eastern zones will generally stay between 16 °C and 21 °C, with lows around 10‑15 °C at night. A brief cold spell earlier in the week brought temperatures down to 5 °C in some locations, but a new heat wave is forecast for the following week, with highs above 30 °C – up to 32 °C – expected across western Poland.

These contrasting conditions underline the regional variability of the Polish summer weather pattern, with residents advised to stay hydrated in the warmer west and to keep an eye on rapidly developing storms in the east.
