Poland faces heavy traffic and crowds during August holidays
Poland is experiencing significant travel congestion due to the August holiday season. Major traffic delays are expected on routes leading to the Baltic Sea, particularly along the S3 and S6 expressways toward Szczecin, Świnoujście, and coastal resorts.
Simultaneously, the Tatra Mountains are seeing massive influxes of tourists. On a recent sunny Saturday, popular sites such as Morskie Oko, Palenica Białczańska, and Kuźnice were overwhelmed. Visitors reported waiting up to four hours for the Kasprowy Wierch cable car, with long queues forming at ticket offices and parking lots. The Tatra National Park noted that favorable weather and long daylight hours have contributed to the crowds, advising tourists to stay on designated trails for safety.
