Poland faces multiple phishing campaigns targeting banks and utilities
Multiple phishing campaigns are targeting users in Poland, impersonating major institutions to steal personal data and financial information.
PKO Bank Polski has issued a warning regarding fraudulent emails that use the bank's name, logo, and contact details to gain trust. These messages often include malicious Excel attachments or links to fake login pages designed to compromise accounts.
Additionally, CERT Polska has identified a campaign where scammers impersonate the energy provider PGE, claiming customers are owed an electricity overpayment to lure them into entering data on fake websites.
In a separate social media attack, CERT Orange Polska reported that criminals are using Facebook advertisements to impersonate LOT Polish Airlines. The scam promises a premium card with 5,000 bonus miles to trick users into providing personal details and credit card information through a multi-stage fraudulent website.
