Poland faces prolonged waiting times for mental‑health and physiotherapy care

Long waiting periods for therapeutic services are straining patients in Poland. A report highlights that delayed access to mental‑health counselling contributes to heightened anxiety, depression and feelings of isolation, especially among low‑income and rural populations. It calls for increased funding, tele‑therapy options and anti‑stigma campaigns to improve the situation.

In parallel, the Centre of Health in Tuchów expands its physiotherapy programme to better serve over 5.5 million Poles who require rehabilitation each year. The initiative adds ambulatory physiotherapy, physio‑therapy, kinesitherapy and massage across multiple locations, prioritising faster treatment start‑up and dedicated support for individuals with severe disabilities. Both efforts aim to reduce barriers and enhance the quality of health‑care provision nationwide.
