Poland faces severe storms and heavy rain, IMGW warns

Poland's meteorological service IMGW issued a storm warning for Friday, indicating that western regions will experience intense thunderstorms with heavy rain (up to 50 mm locally), hail and wind gusts reaching 90 km/h (occasionally up to 100 km/h). Temperatures will stay warm at 28–33 °C, cooling only slightly in coastal and upland areas. The unstable weather will extend into the night of Friday‑Saturday, covering most of the country with rainfall around 30 mm and strong winds. On Saturday, conditions will become cooler but storms will persist, especially in the north, east and some southern parts, still bringing rain (20–30 mm), possible hail and winds up to 80 km/h. Temperatures on Saturday will range from 19 °C near the sea to 29 °C in the east.
