Poland finalizes canoe sprint roster for World Championships

The Polish canoe sprint national team has finalized its roster for the upcoming World Championships in Poznań. The final selection involved determining the pair for the Olympic C-2 500 m event.

Following a direct race in Wałcz, Wiktor Głazunow and Norman Zezula secured their spot with a time of 1:36.01, defeating the duo of Juliusz and Aleksander Kitewski, who finished at 1:36.86. Coach Marcin Grzybowski noted that while the athletes' form is promising, further work is required to compete with the world's top contenders.

Wiktor Głazunow will be one of the most active competitors at the championships, participating in the C-2 500 m, the C-1 1000 m, and the C-1 5000 m, where he will defend his bronze medal. Other participants include Aleksander Kitewski in the C-1 500 m, Oleksii Koliadych in the C-1 200 m, and a C-4 500 m crew consisting of Kacper Sieradzan, Aleksander Kitewski, Juliusz Kitewski, and Łukasz Witkowski.
