Poland: Fire in Jarocin and wind damage in Ostrołęka
Several incidents occurred in Poland due to environmental factors and accidents. In Jarocin, a large fire broke out on Friday, August 21, near the intersection of Wybudowana and Pszenna streets. The blaze consumed straw bales stored in outbuildings. Witnesses reported hearing two explosions during the incident, and numerous emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
In Ostrołęka, strong winds caused a construction fence at a new kindergarten site on Blachnickiego Street to collapse onto a sidewalk. No injuries were reported as no pedestrians were passing by at the time of the collapse. This event was noted as one of several instances of wind-related damage in the city.
