Poland fire incidents cause evacuations and property losses
A night fire broke out in the village of Głownia, damaging a wooden storage building on Moczydła Street. Three fire crews from nearby stations fought the blaze for about three hours before extinguishing it. The fire completely consumed the 10 × 10 m structure that stored timber, causing preliminary losses estimated at roughly 50,000 złoty. No injuries were reported.
Separately, a fire erupted on the attic level of the Nove meat‑processing plant in Morgi, Nowe municipality. Approximately 200 employees evacuated the facility on their own before firefighters arrived. The blaze was contained after seven fire crews worked to reach the source of the smoke, and officials identified a probable electrical short circuit as the cause. No one was harmed, and the incident was declared under control.
Both incidents resulted in property damage but no casualties, prompting local fire services to conduct thorough inspections to prevent re‑ignition.
