Poland fitness sector attracts capital shifting from nightlife
Investors in Poland are shifting capital from the nightlife industry toward the health and wellness sector. The fitness and wellness market in Poland is currently valued between 10.5 and 12 billion PLN, with over 4.2 million active members.
This market correction is driven by rising operational costs, changing consumer habits, and a generational shift. Data from Bloomberg suggests that Generation Z consumes up to 87% less alcohol than older generations. Consequently, high-margin alcoholic beverages in social venues are increasingly being replaced by water and non-alcoholic (NoLo) drinks.
Entrepreneurs previously focused on nightlife are relocating their investments to fitness franchises. For example, former nightclub owner Błażej Mielnik has transitioned into investing in the automated gym network Fit+.
