Poland Gains Access to GPT-5.5 Cyber AI for National Cybersecurity
Poland has joined a small group of European countries that have received access to GPT-5.5 Cyber, a specialized AI model designed for cyber‑security tasks. The model will be used by NASK and its CERT Polska team, which handle real incident reports, vulnerability analysis, malware scrutiny and patch verification for public institutions, private firms and citizens.
The AI assists analysts by scanning large codebases, flagging suspicious sections, mapping possible attack paths and aiding rapid response. It is intended as a tool to speed up work, not replace human experts, and its deployment is restricted to authorized environments because of the dual‑use nature of such technology.
Polish officials stress that human operators will still validate AI‑generated findings, assess risk and decide on remediation priorities, ensuring that the system supports, rather than automates, critical cyber‑defence decisions.
