Poland heating voucher application deadline is August 31

The deadline to apply for the heating voucher for 2026 is Monday, August 31. This support program is designed to compensate households, particularly residents of apartment blocks, for high district heating costs. The maximum benefit amount is 3,500 PLN, and payments are scheduled to be disbursed in the final quarter of 2026.

Eligibility is determined by income and heating prices. For a single-person household, the average monthly income must not exceed 3,272.69 PLN, while for multi-person households, the limit is 2,454.52 PLN per person. A “złotówka for złotówka” rule applies, meaning benefits are reduced proportionally if income exceeds these limits.

Additionally, the net single-component price of heat from the provider must exceed 170 PLN/GJ. The payout amount scales with the price: 1,000 PLN for prices between 170 and 200 PLN/GJ, 2,000 PLN for 200 to 230 PLN/GJ, and up to 3,500 PLN for prices exceeding 230 PLN/GJ. Applications can be submitted through local social assistance centers (OPS or MOPS) or electronically via the mObywatel app. No further funding for this specific support is planned in the 2027 state budget draft.
