Poland hosts 2nd Uniformed Motorcycle Rally to honor military history

The 2nd Uniformed Motorcycle Rally, titled ‘History Trail – Black Brigade March’, commenced at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. The event aims to commemorate Polish soldiers who defended and fought to reclaim the nation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz attended the inauguration, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He stated that the rally serves as a method of building a ‘policy of memory’ intended to engage younger generations more effectively than traditional classroom lessons.

Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that the history of the Black Brigade and the subsequent formation of the 1st Armored Division are vital to building contemporary social resilience. He also touched upon current national security efforts, including significant defense spending and modernization programs for uniformed services.
