Poland hosts mountain bike marathons in Pielnia and Polanica‑Zdrój

On 26 July 2026 the village of Pielnia will hold the Transprzęt Mountain Bike Marathon, a 33‑kilometre race featuring three loops of about 11 km each. The event includes children's categories that start at 10:00, a main open race at 11:50, and a prize fund of 500 zł, 300 zł and 200 zł for the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s open classes. Entry costs 50 zł for adults, while children race for free. The marathon is organised by the Association “Active Gmina Zarszyn” and will award commemorative medals and trophies.

From 16–18 July the newly built Cross‑Country Park in Polanica‑Zdrój hosted the 34th Polish Mountain‑Bike Championships, organized by Grabek Promotion. Competitions covered XCO, XCC and relay races, with former Olympic silver‑medallist Maja Włoszczowska opening the venue. After the championships, a recreational Bike Marathon allowed amateurs to ride the same course. Regional officials praised the events as part of a broader effort to develop cycling infrastructure in Lower Silesia.
