Poland hosts senior bike rally and police rowing fundraiser

On 7 June 2026, the Inter‑municipal Bike Rally in Olbrachcice (Gmina Dąbrowa Zielona) attracted 221 participants of all ages, with a focus on seniors over 60. Organized by the Foundation Lider Przyszłości, the 30‑km ride promoted active ageing and inter‑generational ties. Police patrols, 13 volunteer fire‑service units and a medical team from Jura Rescue Team ensured safety. The finish at the local primary school included a prize ceremony with 86 items – helmets, accessories and new bicycles – provided by local sponsors.

In Chełmno, police officers took part in a 30‑minute rowing challenge on Starogrodzkie Lake as part of the nationwide “Spring for Sport” campaign. Participants paddled a dragon‑style boat, registered online and donated to the Foundation for Widows and Orphans of Fallen Police, raising funds for families of deceased officers and highlighting physical fitness and community solidarity.
