Poland hosts Youth Day celebrations in Kielce and Świerklaniec

In 2026 Poland marked International Youth Day with two major events. In Kielce, the regional government of Świętokrzyskie and the Youth Assembly organized a two‑part programme featuring a policy conference, workshops, a concert by the band Modelki and a public entertainment zone on the market square. The event also supports the city’s bid to become the European Youth Capital in 2029.

Meanwhile, the village of Świerklaniec held a youth‑run gathering in its historic park, arranged by the local Youth Advisory Council with backing from the municipal office. Activities included first‑aid and kick‑boxing demonstrations, a mini volleyball tournament, artistic workshops, and a food and relaxation area. Both events aimed to foster social integration, develop organisational skills among young people and showcase opportunities offered by local, national and European programmes.
