The proposed changes aim to improve living standards by mandating elevators in new buildings with at least three stories and enforcing stricter acoustic insulation for walls, ceilings, and windows to reduce noise transfer between units.

In the broader real estate market, recent analyses indicate that purchasing an apartment with a 20% down payment can be more cost-effective than renting in several major Polish cities. In locations such as Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, monthly mortgage installments are currently lower than average rental rates for a 40-square-meter apartment.

Additionally, new rules regarding garden rooms in Ireland have sparked a construction trend. Under recent regulations, modular units between 32 and 45 square meters can be built in back gardens without a formal planning permit, provided owners notify local authorities and adhere to specific space and residency requirements. These units may also be used for rental under the Rent-A-Room scheme.
