Poland railway networks face widespread schedule changes

Major railway operators across Poland, including SKM, Koleje Mazowieckie, Koleje Małopolskie, and Koleje Wielkopolskie, are implementing significant schedule adjustments due to ongoing infrastructure modernization by PKP PLK.

In the Warsaw region, construction of a tunnel in Wesoła and renovations at Warszawa Powiśle will cause service disruptions. On the S1 and S2 lines, trains will experience reduced frequency, and some services will bypass certain stations or terminate early. Nighttime closures of the suburban diameter line will also necessitate detours through Warszawa Centralna and Warszawa Gdańska for several lines, including R1 and R3.

In other regions, Koleje Małopolskie is adjusting schedules due to modernization on the Kraków–Kozłów route, which includes the implementation of a new traffic control system. In Wielkopolska, modernization on the Wągrowiec–Gołańcz line and the Poznań–Piła route will result in the use of replacement bus services and circular routes for certain trains.

These changes, driven by track and overhead line upgrades, are expected to persist through mid-December 2026.
