Poland implements mandatory electronic building and waste inspections
Property owners and managers in Poland are facing increased regulatory oversight regarding technical inspections and waste management. Under the Construction Law, owners must conduct annual inspections of gas installations and chimney systems (including smoke, exhaust, and ventilation ducts).
A significant procedural change requires that chimney inspections be documented electronically via the Central Register of Emission in Buildings (CEEB) using the ZONE system. Paper protocols are no longer sufficient evidence of compliance.
Simultaneously, local municipalities are conducting inspections of residential composters. Officials are verifying whether residents who claimed waste management discounts are actually composting organic waste. Refusal to allow these inspections or failure to maintain a functional composter can result in the loss of waste fee preferences for up to six months.
