Poland launches 2027 Personal Assistant program for persons with disabilities

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has announced the call for applications for the 2027 edition of the Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities program. Funded by the Solidarity Fund, the program aims to provide accessible personal assistance to support individuals in daily activities and social integration.

Target beneficiaries include children aged 2 to 16 with disabilities requiring constant or long-term care, as well as adults with significant or moderate disability degrees. The assistance covers various areas, including self-care, household management, mobility, and social participation. The services are provided free of charge to the participants.

Various local government units across Poland, including municipalities such as Cedry Wielkie, Ostróda, Nałęczów, Kamień Pomorski, Kobylanka, and Zgorzelec, are initiating the application process or conducting needs assessments to participate in the 2027 cycle. The Ministry plans to allocate 1.2 billion PLN toward the implementation of this task.
