Poland implements nationwide initiatives for youth safety and digital security
Various educational and preventive initiatives are being rolled out across Poland to address the safety of children and youth. A major national campaign, ‘Dzieciństwo bez Przemocy’ (Childhood without Violence), organized by the Fundacja Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę and the National Coalition for Child Protection, is currently active. The campaign focuses on raising awareness regarding child abuse, particularly psychological violence, and provides educational materials and webinars for schools.
Simultaneously, authorities are addressing digital threats. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski has emphasized the need to improve digital literacy in schools to combat online risks, including radicalization, disinformation, and cyberbullying. This includes the ‘Broń się w necie’ (Defend yourself online) training program for school directors, involving experts from NASK and the Internal Security Agency (ABW).
Local authorities and law enforcement are also conducting targeted workshops. These range from teaching seniors about financial cybercrime to educating students on legal responsibility, human trafficking prevention, and the psychological impacts of social media. These efforts aim to build social resilience and foster cooperation between schools, parents, and security services.
