Poland implements security measures in schools following recent attacks
Following recent violent incidents at schools in the Mazovia region, including an attack in Leszczydole-Nowiny that resulted in the death of a 37-year-old employee, new security measures are being implemented in Polish schools. Funding has been secured to equip all primary schools with security gates at their entrances.
In addition to physical security, the government has passed legislation to block illegal online content, granting courts and relevant authorities the power to issue orders for content removal. Educational authorities have issued specific guidelines for teachers on how to respond to threats involving dangerous objects and have increased police patrols near educational facilities. Psychological support and emergency helplines have also been emphasized to assist students and staff during this period of heightened concern.
