Poland increases funding for electric vehicles and energy storage

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has announced significant budget increases for green energy initiatives in Poland. The NaszEauto program, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, has seen its budget raised by over 82 million PLN, bringing the total to 1.26 billion PLN. This increase aims to support approximately 40,000 applicants interested in zero-emission transport and electric vehicles.

Additionally, the Ministry of Climate and Environment has introduced a 1 billion PLN program to subsidize home energy and heat storage. Prosumers can receive up to 19,000 PLN in total support, including up to 16,000 PLN for energy storage for those in the net-billing system and up to 8,000 PLN for those in net-metering. The program seeks to increase the self-consumption of renewable energy and enhance national energy security.
