Poland investigates former Bełchatów official in economic crime probe

Authorities in Poland are continuing an investigation into organized economic crime involving former Bełchatów deputy mayor Tomasz J. The investigation has led to several arrests and involves millions of zlotys.

In a related development regarding economic crime, services discovered a complete production line for tobacco on a private property. During this operation, two Polish citizens, aged 36 and 44, were caught in the act of manufacturing tobacco products. Police seized 1.5 tons of tobacco snuff and 1.5 tons of tobacco leaves.
