Polish towns roll out infrastructure upgrades and modernisations
Municipal authorities across Poland have launched a series of infrastructure projects. In Dziemiany, a playground near the local amphitheatre is being refurbished with a synthetic surface and new equipment; the second‑stage works cost 273,736.50 zł, with 126,000 zł EU co‑funding. Wieliczka will carry out road works on Powstania Warszawskiego and Edwarda Dembowskiego streets from 7 July to 22 July, replacing drainage manholes and imposing temporary traffic changes.
In Płock, a recently built parking lot on al. Kobylińskiego – costing about 2.5 million zł – is showing signs of ground subsidence, prompting the city to order repairs under the construction guarantee. Łomża received half a million zł from the Ministry of Sport for modernising the locker‑room and sanitary facilities of its school sports hall, part of a broader 2.5‑2.7 million zł renovation. The gmina of Rudnik issued tenders for new and upgraded playgrounds in several villages, financed by EU and regional funds.
The Mazovian Voivodeship approved 2.5 million zł for rebuilding county road 3404W (Pokrzywnica‑Trzepowo) and 126,600 zł for autonomous road lighting. In Sopot, the reconstruction of ul. Jakuba Goyki was completed with underground water‑retention tanks and upgraded storm‑water systems to increase flood resilience.
