Poland issues emergency alerts following Russian air attacks on Ukraine

On the morning of September 10, the Government Security Centre (RCB) issued emergency alerts to residents of the Lublin and Podkarpackie regions in Poland. The alerts were triggered by a massive Russian aerial attack on Ukraine, targeting areas including the Odesa and Kyiv regions.

The notifications informed residents that the situation was being monitored and that the Polish Air Force was operating in Polish airspace as a precautionary measure. In response to the intensified missile and drone activity near the border, duty fighter pairs from the Polish Air Force and allies were scrambled to monitor the situation.

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration stated that alerts will continue to be sent to border provinces whenever intense Russian strikes occur in Ukraine. Officials emphasized that it is better to over-inform than to miss critical information, noting that while the alerts are preventive, they are intended to ensure residents remain vigilant in case any objects cross the Polish border.
