Poland Issues Guidance on Renovation Waste Removal and Household Bio‑Waste Containers

Polish authorities and service providers advise residents to dispose of renovation debris—such as concrete, old furniture, paint residues and plasterboard—through authorised channels. In Wrocław, the firm "Kontenery na gruz" offers temporary containers ranging from 2 m³ to 36 m³, delivered and collected within 24 hours, ensuring legal disposal and avoiding fines. An alternative is the municipal Selective Waste Collection Point (PSZOK), which accepts certain waste types but imposes limits on weight, operating hours and the kinds of material it will receive.

In the town of Dzierżoniów, the city office reminds citizens that brown bio‑waste bins are limited to household organic waste such as vegetable peelings, stale bread, coffee grounds, eggshells and garden residues. Items prohibited in these bins include meat, bones, animal waste, liquids, oils, soil, stones, used hygiene products and any waste placed in plastic bags. Green garden waste must be taken to the local PSZOK at Bielawska 15B, which also handles electronic waste, hazardous chemicals, batteries, batteries, large furniture and used tires.
