Polish summer camps and activities engage thousands of children nationwide

This summer, a range of organised programmes across Poland are providing recreational and educational opportunities for children and youths. Caritas’ "Wakacyjna Akcja" will host nearly 20,000 children in colonies, half‑colonies and thematic trips, offering sports, arts, culinary and photography workshops along with psychological support. The Polish Border Guard arranged a ten‑day camp in Niedzicy for 87 youngsters, featuring mountain hikes, cultural visits and sport. Scouts from Warsaw‑Praga‑Południe spent ten days at a biwak in Puck, combining maritime excursions, orientation training and cultural activities. Local municipalities such as Rudnik nad Sanem and Gmina Masłów run craft workshops and safety seminars, while the OSiR in Bytom offers sport‑recreation weekends and free roller‑skating events. Parallel guidance on responsible tourism, including the "Leave No Trace" principles, aims to protect natural areas visited by holidaymakers. Together, these initiatives highlight a nationwide effort to make the holiday season active, safe and socially inclusive for young people.
