Poland judicial salaries projected to rise nearly 6% in 2027 budget

As the Polish government finalizes the 2027 budget draft, judicial salaries are projected to see significant increases compared to other public sector roles. While budget workers and uniformed services are expected to receive approximately 3% raises, judges may see increases of nearly 6% due to the way their compensation is indexed to the average quarterly wage.

Calculations based on data from the Central Statistical Office indicate that the base wage for judicial calculations has risen from 8,748.63 PLN to 9,233.13 PLN. This shift will impact various levels of the judiciary. For instance, a district court judge's gross monthly salary could rise from approximately 17,934 PLN to 18,927 PLN.

High-ranking officials will also see substantial increases. The First President of the Supreme Court, Zbigniew Karpiński, could see his remuneration rise from roughly 44,880 PLN to 47,365 PLN. The President of the Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Święczkowski, is projected to see his total monthly compensation increase from 54,241 PLN to over 57,000 PLN. These adjustments will also apply to retired judges, who receive 75% of current salaries.
