Poland launches Asian science cooperation program and announces Polish‑Hungarian research mobility scheme

The Łukasiewicz – ITECH Institute of Technology has begun work on an Asian cooperation programme. A pilot phase will start in September 2026, with full implementation planned for 2027. The initiative will initially involve Taiwan, South Korea and India, covering joint scientific research, public‑policy analysis and technology development in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, space industry and medical technologies.

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) have opened a joint call for mobility projects for 2027‑2029. Applications are accepted until 30 September 2026. Funding will cover travel costs for sending researchers and accommodation and daily allowances for host institutions. Projects may span any scientific discipline and will be evaluated on scientific merit, team expertise, relevance to programme goals and feasibility. The highest‑scoring proposals will be approved by the PAN vice‑president for international cooperation.
