Poland launches digital map to track Emergency Department waiting times

A digital system for monitoring waiting times at Emergency Departments (SOR) was officially launched on the pacjent.gov.pl portal in December 2024. The interactive map and table allow patients to check estimated wait times for registration, triage, and physician consultation.

The system aims to organize patient flow and help individuals choose facilities with shorter wait times. It is intended for patients in sudden life-threatening or health-threatening situations, though the tool may also help redirect those seeking non-emergency care to appropriate services like Night and Holiday Healthcare.
