Police deploy helicopter in search for suspected puma near Glogow, Poland

Night‑time infrared cameras captured the silhouette of a large cat resembling a puma between the villages of Droglowice and Wojszyn, east of Glogow in Lower Silesia. Local authorities – county starosta Michał Wnuk, forest chief Adam Grzelczak, veterinary inspector Janina Świrczyńska and mayor Dorota Jewniewicz – held a press conference and activated emergency protocols. The police have deployed a Bell‑407GXi helicopter equipped with an optoelectronic image detector, and drones are also patrolling the forest.
