Poland launches free mammography mobile units in Katowice and Częstochowa
Poland's Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund are offering free mammography screening for women aged 45 to 74 through mobile units.
In Katowice, the Mammobus will be available on 21 July 2026 at the University of Silesia campus (ul. Bankowa 12). Appointments are scheduled individually via phone with the service provider Geneva Trust Poland.
In Częstochowa, the mobile unit will operate on 18, 20 and 21 July 2026 near the Auchan market on ul. Focha, offering examinations from 10:00 to 16:00 (first two days) and until 15:00 on the final day. Residents must register in advance by phone or online.
Eligibility excludes women already covered by high‑risk family programs or comprehensive oncologic care. The program aims to detect breast cancer early, improving treatment outcomes.
