Poland launches free mobile health screenings for women and men

The National Fund of Health (NFZ) will operate a mobile mammography unit, the "Mammobus," in Nowy Sącz on 21 and 24 August. The service, free for women aged 45‑74, will be parked at the Kaufland parking lot on Bulwar Narwiku 22. Appointments are taken by phone (58 767 34 44 for the 21st, 58 666 24 44 for the 24th) and later via the e‑registration portal. The bus will continue to visit other towns in the Małopolska region throughout August.

Separately, the Hasco‑Lek Foundation ran a nationwide men’s health campaign called "Panowie! Jazda po zdrowie" using a mobile health station, the HascoBus. Over 2 800 free examinations and consultations were performed in cities such as Lądek‑Zdrój, Milicz, Poznań, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Grudziądz and Warsaw. Services included blood‑pressure checks, single‑lead ECG, body‑composition analysis, functional fitness tests, pharmacist consultations and ultrasound scans, which identified arterial narrowing, kidney and liver changes, and tumors. The campaign demonstrated strong demand for accessible, no‑cost preventive care among Polish men.
