Poland launches heating voucher program to aid low‑income households
On 30 September 2025 Poland enacted a law establishing a heating voucher (bon cieplny) to reduce energy‑price burdens for qualifying households. Applications for the 2025 period must be submitted between 3 November and 15 December 2025; late submissions are rejected. A second application window for 2026 runs from 1 July to 31 August 2026. Eligible households are those whose average monthly net income in 2024‑2025 does not exceed 3 272.69 zł for single‑person homes or 2 454,52 zł per person for multi‑person homes. The voucher amount varies with the net price of heat in the local system: up to 500 zł, 1 000 zł, or 1 750 zł for 2025, and 1 000 zł or 2 000 zł for 2026, depending on price thresholds. Applications can be filed in person at the local Social Services Centre in Czeladź, by post, via the gov.pl e‑PUAP platform, or through the mObywatel app.
