Poland promotes gaming industry as a core national competitive strength

The Polish government and municipal authorities are actively positioning the gaming industry as a vital sector for national competitiveness and cultural diplomacy. In Warsaw, which has emerged as Europe’s largest game development hub, over 300 developers and publishers operate, employing more than 6,300 professionals. The city's industry includes globally recognized studios such as CD Projekt Red and 11 bit studios.

To further this growth, the Institute of Creative Industries is launching Polish Video Game Days (DPGW), a large-scale initiative designed to promote Polish productions internationally as both economic drivers and forms of artistic expression. This initiative includes immersive exhibitions and digital campaigns to connect the industry with broader audiences.

Additionally, the Game Industry Conference (GIC) 2026 in Poznań has highlighted the sector's professional depth, featuring experts from major studios like Techland, Larian, and Ubisoft. The conference addressed diverse industry topics, ranging from cybersecurity and legal management to audio design and studio operations.
