Poland conducts nationwide ALARM-26 siren test on July 21‑22

Poland will carry out a nationwide emergency‑warning drill called ALARM‑26 on 21 July 2026, with a backup date of 22 July if needed. Sirens will sound across the country between 07:00 and 19:00 to test the system that would alert civilians to air‑strike threats. In the municipality of Żukowo, the exercise includes two test signals on 21‑22 July: a modulated alarm tone and a continuous three‑minute siren, both of which do not indicate a real danger and require no evacuation.

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration has also released an educational film on the Giżycko County portal explaining what residents should do when they hear a siren. The video provides guidance on appropriate actions during an alert and is accompanied by a data‑protection notice.

Authorities ask the public to remain calm during the drills, noting that any genuine emergency will be communicated through additional channels.
