Poland launches new climbing guide and promotes winter mountain safety

A fourth edition of the Rudawy Janowickie climbing guide by Michał Kajca has entered pre‑sale, offering about 330 newly documented routes and updated maps, icons and photos. The guide will be shipped after the pre‑sale ends on 4 August 2026, priced at 125 zł.

At the same time, mountaineering experts released a detailed reminder on preparing for winter excursions in the Karkonosze range. The advice covers layered clothing, suitable boots and avalanche gear, careful route planning, basic safety training and keeping emergency contacts such as GOPR on hand.
