Poland launches 'Projektownia' digital creativity lab in Bolszew

Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage Maciej Wróbel visited the Bolszew branch of the Biblioteka Gminy Wejherowo to inaugurate "Projektownia", a modern creative laboratory. Equipped with five computer workstations and 3D printers, the lab will teach graphic design, illustration, photo editing and 3D printing to local youth and seniors, aiming to narrow the digital divide between larger cities and small towns.

The facility is part of the Ministry's "Świetlik" programme, which seeks to establish 60 similar labs this year and 200 more next year in small municipalities. In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the ministry is funding 167 projects worth over 70 million złoty this year, including two substantial FENiKS grants for the Gdańsk Maritime Museum and the Malbork Castle Museum. Deputy mayor Anna Podbielska said the new lab will attract new groups and foster creativity among residents.
