Poland launches school safety initiatives and community events

Various safety and community initiatives are launching in Poland to coincide with the upcoming school year.

The 'Reflective School 2026' competition is opening for primary schools, aiming to promote road safety awareness and encourage the use of reflective elements among students. Primary schools in the Silesian Voivodeship have the opportunity to participate by registering before September 25. Previous editions saw significant engagement, including nearly 200 schools and over 50,000 students from the region.

Additionally, the city of Siemianowice Śląskie will host the second edition of the 'Safe Return to School' educational and entertainment picnic on September 13, 2026. The event, held under the honorary patronage of Mayor Rafał Piech, will feature displays from emergency services, rally car demonstrations, and a children's play zone. The picnic also serves a charitable purpose, with collections being held to support the 'Dzieci Sodusiowej' Family Foster Home.
