Poland launches volunteer recognition competitions for 2026

Various organizations in Poland are accepting nominations for volunteer recognition awards for the year 2026.

The National Institute of Freedom – Center for the Development of Civil Society has announced the 7th edition of its Volunteer of the Year and Coordinator of the Year competitions. These awards aim to honor individuals and coordinators contributing to civil society, including those supporting the homeless, seniors, people with disabilities, and patients in hospices. The deadline for these national submissions is October 12.

On a regional level, Lubin County is also seeking candidates for its Volunteer of the Year 2026 title. Nominations can be submitted by individuals, institutions, or organizations until November 5. The local awards will recognize diverse social activities, ranging from administrative support to assisting children with disabilities or visiting residents in care homes. Winners will be announced during a gala on December 10.
