Poland maintains 7-day poultry mortality reporting deadline
The Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has decided to maintain the current seven-day deadline for reporting poultry mortality in the IRZplus system. The Ministry rejected a proposal to extend this period, clarifying that reporting obligations are independent of when a disposal plant collects carcasses. Instead, breeders must submit collective weekly data to allow the Veterinary Inspection to monitor epizootic situations, animal health, and flock welfare.
In the veterinary sector, the Vetkompleksowo portal has released new specialized materials for practitioners. Recent updates include clinical studies on feline orthopedics and cardiology, discussions on modern parasitology, and resources regarding the psychological burden on veterinarians. The platform also provides guidance on diagnosing infectious diseases such as rabies and managing hormonal disorders in small animals.
